Simulating the impact of elevated thermal condition on wet-season rice grown in Eastern India by different crop growth models

Elevated thermal condition caused by global warming is a threat to major crops grown in India as well other Asian and tropical countries, it negatively affects the crop phenology, growth, dry-matter production yield. The present research work aims assess impact of elevated temperature on rice using three growth simulation models, namely, DSSAT, WOFOST InfoCrop. Field experimental data-set for seven years was used model calibration validation. After validation, models were predict yield under 1, 2 and30C rise over normal maximum minimum temperature. also leaf area indices (LAI) duration. It observed that duration shortened almost 10 days 30C enhancement LAI reduced considerably. wet-season may be 8.7% 10C, 12.5% for20C 21.1% increase Use combination more than one can climate change reliably.
